So, in order to transfer to UVA next year, I need to know, UMW or GMU. Is there any particular benefit for attending either institution, whether it be a better chance of success ( i feel umw would provide this) or simply more prestige. I feel they're nearly equal, but need to know where to go next year. Please don't comment on the fact that I shouldn't think with an intent to transfer, as I have considered this deeply. I think that I would prefer GMU for four years, but if I can manage to transfer after one, I would like to have opinions on which is best. I'm well qualified to be a UVA student in every way other than my HS gpa, which is only average, at ~3.5 by the end of the year. I've learned my shortcomings, though, and am confident for college, I'll probably start taking classes over the summer...Also, I know my ECs at either institute will be great, due to some things I have begun in the past couple years in the community and a summer internship for this year/fall...But would it be difficult to join student government at GMU? Any input helpful!

If your goal is to transfer to UVA, Community College(VA) is the easiest/cheapest way to do so.

Assume you won’t get into UVA when you make this decision, because in case you don’t, at least you want to be happy.
