Help!!

i already sent my app like on 10/31 however on my online tracking it says the app part 2 wasn't processed. What should i do? I tracked my mail and it says that it was delivered on Nov 3. So what happened possibly?

There's a backlog; don't worry about it. Could be a few weeks before MyMIT app tracking is updated.

It takes awhile for it to show up on the website, that's all. Don't worry about it, since you sent it days early. Watch, in a few days, it'll show up.

k thnx guys yeh i was just freaking out that my app didn't reach MIT.

i hope my teachers' recommendations reached mit

imiracle, it seems like my problem is just the opposite, though not as bad. I finalized my app on the 30th and then received a letter postmarked November 2nd saying that I had turned in Part 1 and Marilee Jones was looking forward to reading my part ii, which they said had not been sent.

Of course, by monday the 31st, myMIT had already said that part II was processed and that I was applying early action. I don't feel at all worried though - even if it wasn't in, I guess I would be screwed until RD, but that is generally what happens when you get deferred too isn't it?

Otherwise, I am pretty impressed with the supposed MIT backlog. I mailed my Secondary School Report on the 24th and MIT listed it as processed by the 28th. I sent my score reports only about a week before MIT processed them. Also, both teacher recs were sent about the 29-31th and both were received and processed by the 4th! How cool is that? So I went into your room and read your diary!

Add me to the list of worried students - one of my teacher apps, sent on the 31st, hasn't been logged in yet. Everything else is there though.

We got a gazillion pieces of mail right on the deadline. It will be weeks before everything gets processed. :-)

and in a couple places here on CC that the records room has been swamped with paperwork and it could take several weeks for the confirmation to show up. It might be sooner, but he encouraged applicants not to worry about it.
