<p>Sorry, I don’t think your chances at Dartmouth are great. There are too many B’s (and C’s) on your transcript. While it is true that stellar essays and recommendations can help, they won’t be significant enough to tip you into the admit pile if your academic stats aren’t up to par. The lowest GPA I’ve ever heard of getting into Dartmouth (at least on this site) was a 3.7 unweighted, and that guy wrote amazing essays. He was also a finalist for TASP and planned to be an English major.</p>

<p>I apologize if I came across as overly harsh, but on the bright side, there are literally tons of wonderful colleges out there that would be delighted to have a student like you. Now would be a good time to look into schools whose average objective stats match yours. You can still apply to Dartmouth if you want, but my advice is not to get your hopes up.</p>
