Help!

I want to major in Environmental Science, but i saw in another post that there is not many job opportunities out there in that field. I was wondering if this is true, and if it is, what other related career option do you recommend? If it's not true, what universities do you recommend for Environmental Science?

Thank You!!

I believe the consensus is that for entry level jobs in the field…

A degree in environmental engineering is preferred.

Or a degree in Env Sci followed up by an MS.

There certainly are entry level jobs available for those with a BS in Env Sci, I think the problem may be that there are x number of jobs but lots of people are majoring in the field now, so you have 2x candidates.

Thank you so much!!
For a degree in environmental engineering what schools would you recommend?

In the Midwest I would look at the usual suspects…Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, Wash U.

In general, any state flagship and good private that has a program will be perfectly adequate.
