I'm trying to decide between Cornell (ILR), Duke, UChicago, Northwestern, Georgetown (SFS), and WashU. Right now, Cornell is likely where I will be going (Cornell Days is the only admitted students function I have signed up for so far), for a number of reasons including the reduced price for NY residents and the good fit ILR is for me as a social science guy and prospective lawyer. I really liked both Cornell and Georgetown when I visited about a year ago, but I never had the opportunity to check out the others. I have family who have attended WashU and others who have had family go through Northwestern, but I don't know anybody who went to Duke or UChicago. I know UChicago is extraordinarily well-respected, but it has some stigmas about social life and rigor that I won't be able to get to the bottom of without spending a ton of money on a plane ticket, and I am concerned about Duke for the opposite reason, because it seems like it may be too much of a party school for me. I am not disparaging either of them because I didn't apply to any schools that I didn't feel like I could be happy at (skipped over places like Princeton and Columbia for that reason), I just want to know the extent of the validity of the stereotypes.

Basically, I can only visit one other school besides Cornell due to time and distance, and I would greatly appreciating advice and insight into which I should visit and possibly attend.
I have been telling friends and family I will probably be going to Cornell, but I just don't want to pass up on the other opportunities I have been given without being as well informed as possible. Thanks and go Big Red!!!
