Hello
Anyone know any good universities that are near or within driving distance of a beach especially on the east or gulf coast. Thanks

well this is on the west.....ucsd!!!!!

i have a friend who goes there, it takes her 10 mins to walk to the beach

The University of Miami is right near the beach. As for being a good school, it has a good reputation here in Florida. Elsewhere, I have no idea.

But my honest opinion, don't come to Florida.

u of m ann arbor has a nice, murky lake-ish thing near it, with this horrible winding road with all these blind curves, that if you were to get in some sort of accident, there's pretty much no barrier between you and said murky lake ... :D but yeah, that's not what you're looking for, are you.

In all honesty I was looking at the university of michigan, but there was no way I could afford out os tuition. As far as schools on the west coast, my family just moved from NV and not in a real hurry to be back on the west coast. I'm most likely going to end up going to virginia tech or UNC.

Thanks for the ideas.

The University of British Colombia (aka UBC... in Canada) has its very own beach!! It's in Vancouver, which is a beautiful city, and the campus is gorgeous. They have Japanese gardens, a rose garden, a beach, lots of trees... etc., and the whole place is wireless. You can even sit on the beach with your laptop. Also tuition isn't as bad as a lot of schools in the US thanks to public education in Canada!

It's out west... but it is still awesome!

UCSB is surrounded by the ocean on two sides.. beautiful place
