Help

Hi guys i am a junior in high school, i was wondering if you guys could tell me about the essay for upenn, what do you have to write and will it be the same for when i have to write it next year. Also i want to know if the reputation of my current school will factor into my admittance into upenn, my current high school is rank 15 public school in the country, so if you know the answer to either question dont hesistate to reply

P.S what SATscores does it normally take to get into penn

Essays are in the online application on the Penn site. Two long essays: "Why Penn?" and "Describe a defining experience or risk / Submit p. 217 of your 300-page autobiography"

You will be considered in the context of your high school.

Average SAT scores are in the 1400's but vary by which school you apply to (College, Engineering, Wharton, or Nursing).

1400s on the new 2400 SAT or the old 1600 SAT?

uh, yea...i'm not going to answer that question because it seems extremely obvious to me; anyway, if you care enough about the score, and you're in the 15th high school, you can check it online...sorry if I sound harsh, but I just thought that was an extremely stupid quesiton

Do school ranks mean anything? b/c my school in like around 1,000... I heard that these rankings are determined by the number of people who take the AP exams and do well...the top schools force students in taking them while my school dosen't..until this year where eveyone has to take it regardless

excel, look here...I saw this thread earlier today, and it hits on your question

the high school rankings are very vague. number of people who take AP tests/the number of graduating seniors. And that question about about whether it was 1400/2400 or 1400/1600 was hilarious.

it's 1400/2400

and don't worry....they have 99% acceptance rate
