Hiiiiii!!!! I am currently a high school senior, and it is my dream to work in International Business with a concentration in finance in Europe; however, I also want to major in french. No matter what, the french major is staying. But I cannot decide whether or not to major in finance or international business as an undergrad. I really want to to my grad school in international business at the Darla Moore School of Business at USC. But, I do not know if I would benefit more from getting a undergrad degree in finance or int'l business. Consulting, or investment banking would be my field of work, just on an int'l level. Thanks in advance!!

I got an international business degree from a CSU. I will say that I would think a finance degree would probably help more. My degree classes had a lot more to do with import export and how business practices are different in other countries. If finances is your main point, then I would definitely focus on that. You need to know a lot more about the math and how decisions are made based on formulas. I dread the finance class formula they taught us. I remember it had 8 parts and each part had its own equation as well. Glad I only had to take 1 class on that subject.

I’ve always heard that finance math is relatively easy; can you give me more insight on finance please, and maybe tell me how your int’l bus. degree helped you.
