I submitted my application online around the first week of December. I did not get around to mailing my essays and transcripts until around December 20th. It has been more than 3 weeks since everything was completely submitted and I still haven't gotten my letter!!! Aaahh!!! What should I do?

Call the office of admissions (979-845-1060) and ask them to check and make sure they've received all the parts of your application. Everything they get goes in big piles and it might be taking longer because you sent things separately. Plus, that was on top of the holidays, so they weren't in the office for the whole time. They should also be able to tell you when you'll get your response. Good luck!

Did you get a Net ID yet? If so, you can make sure everything is in at the OARAIS page at the TAMU website.

My d submitted everything by 11/22, but for some reason her h.s. didn't send transcripts until 12/01 and they weren't posted as rec'd until 12/07. Her acceptance letter was mailed by A&M on 12/21, but not rec'd by us until Jan 6. (There was a snafu in mailing center right before the Christmas break and all the acceptance letters sat in the college mailroom over the Christmas holidays.)

Are you top 10% or academic admit? If so, I bet you'll be receiving word any day.

Thank you for responding and yes I am top 10%. I checked on OARAIS, and they had received my stuff on January 12th. That is so wierd because I sent it early December. Like you said, I should be getting my letter any day now.

How long does it usually take them to receive the SAT scores?

I sent mine on the Jan. 17th and hope that it makes it there by Feb. 1st. I sent one to University of Texas at Austin, and they received it a week later which is pretty speedy; I hope that it's the same at Texas A&M U.

It took them a while to receive all of my stuff. How do you get into honors? Is there a separate app or something? I have been told that you are informed as to whether or not you are honors in your letter. Also, what is the basis that they use to determine whether or not you should be an honors student?

You can read all about the honors program here:
