I have never used a fax machine before which is not that surprising because I live in a third-world country.
Recently, I was asked by my admission counselor from the college that I applied to fax my transcripts to her.
How do I do that? If I just fax them without any prior action, how would the college know that these transcripts are mine?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question.

Most colleges receive information piece by piece so if you fax them your transcript with your name etc. they should be able to link it to your application

Every college has its own requirements for faxed documents. Some ask for student’s name and date of birth to be printed on all the documents. Some ask for the Student ID (or username or access code). Whatever it is, check with the college websites.
