<p>If you are a US applicant, have you taken a good long look at your local community college and/or your home-state public universities?</p>
<p>If you are not a US applicant, have you taken a good long look at the institutions in your own country?</p>

<p>Ask your parents just exactly how much they are ready, willing, and able to pay each year. Find out if they will pay for an extra semester, year, or summer session if you need one.</p>
<p>Your ACT and GPA qualify you for a bunch of merit aid at the institutions on these lists. Some are still accepting applications until April 1. Visit their websites and see if anything would work:

<p>This happened to a friend of mine and after calling up the schools that she was waitlisted at and explaining that she would absolutely attend their college if admitted, she was taken off the waitlist</p>
<p>Who did she call? The admissions officer or anything specific person?and dis she call or email</p>
<p>Hey I would call Admissions at the schools you really wanted to attend and were wait listed.
Let them know you are still interested. Nothing ventured, nothing gained as the saying goes.</p>
