Hey everyone! I applied RD to Wake Forest and got rejected in December However, my guidance counselor just told me that there was a mistake on my transcript. I took an independent study course in my junior year and received a pass (my grade was 93). But my school has been sending transcriptions to all the colleges that I had applied to with a fail in that course. Should I appeal the decision? I am highly interested in WF. I was devastated when I got rejected. Do you think it is possible for the admission office to reconsider? I mean since it is a very competitive school, they most easily reject the ones with fail in any class. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this situation. Thanks!

You should have your counselor contact your regional admissions rep (it was his/her mistake after all) and explain the situation. You never know what the outcome will be but it may be worth a try. Good luck.

Ditto, contact the Admission’s Office ASAP, and even try to get your school to have some sort of statement as well on top of the corrected transcript.

The difference between an F and an A can be pretty big. I can only imagine that they would relook at your file considering they it had such a pretty large error.
