Help!!!

<p>Help!!! My parents/teachers are pressuring me to start looking at schools to apply next fall, I need help form people that have gone through the process and can give me a realistic opinion on where to apply. I like Columbia a lot but im not sure if i should even apply? I want to major in international relations and minor in business. What other schools are in my reach?</p>

<p>Well, I think your GPA is pretty good especially with the upward trend. If you SAT II's come out as projected, then they're good too. Your SAT is on the lower side, I think, but if you retake it and do a little better, then I can't see anything that would keep you out. Definitely apply. As for other schools in NYC, obviously there's NYU but the culture and atmosphere there is totally different. Fordham, City College, Baruch, NYIT, Yeshiva--those are just the other schools that I could think of off the top of my head; I don't know how similar or dissimilar they are from Columbia.</p>
