So am I at a disadvantage because because my school lists gpa as on a 100 point scale so mine is a 93.4 unweighted but on a 4.0 scale that is a 4.0. So my question is will this difference negatively effect me? And also is there a why to change how this is shown?
It won’t hurt you. Colleges get HS transcripts that are done many different ways and each HS sends a school profile that describes things like its grading system, levels of courses offered etc. along with each transcript.
In any event it is what it is so don’t spend time worrying or complaining about something you can’t change. Focus on what is in your control – doing your best academically and creating a strong application.
It won’t be a problem at all. Universities are used to dealing with a wide range of different grading systems.
At some high schools a 93.4, or even a 97, would be lower than a 4.0.
