So I know for sure that I want to do cs and something like ce or ee, so today I was looking at the majors on the mit website
and they don’t have a plain cs major but a eecs major, I know what your thinking “perfect !! everything he wants!!”
WRONG (lol) I have a fear that since its one major that its just going to give me half the knowledge of a cs major and half
the knowledge of a ee major. so people of the internet heed my cries and tell me should I do the eecs major or look for a
different university to get a double major
P.S are ee and ce the same thing because I want to mainly work on cpu gpu mother boards etc.…
P.S P.S what would be the best college in the u.s to double major in?.
The eecs major is perfect for today’s digital world. eecs or cse or ce is exactly what you need to work on cpu/gpu chips boards and arrays.
You are assuming that you will automatically be admitted to MIT.
You do know that MIT is a VERY TOUGH admit?
You have the arrogance to presume that you are already admitted?
The best college in the US is one that will admit you.
" I have a fear that since its one major that its just going to give me half the knowledge of a cs major and half". It is MIT. They produce the smartest engineers in the world. I doubt you will be missing out. In addition, I’m pretty sure people specialize in MIT. Not sure but I imagine with EECS program, you can be more focused on EE or CS. But I don’t think you understand how difficult it is to get into MIT lol.
