What's the difference between Sociology, Social Sciences, and Public Policy Studies?

Here is a site where you can find descriptions of different majors --

<a href="http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/majors/majorSearch.asp%5B/url%5D">http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/majors/majorSearch.asp</a></p>

Also be sure to look at the course offerings at prospective schools. You may be able to tell more what you want by deciding which courses are of most interest. My daughter just decided on a second concentration. She had to get beyond the fact that one possibility sounded more like something she wanted and see that the other is the one that had the courses that interested her more.

BTW "social sciences" isn't a major. It is a general category that contains lots of things, including sociology and public policy studies for instance.
