Ok guys i have decided that i want to work in the media field(tv, cinema).Should i major in film or communication?Other than NYC and LA what other cities would offer me plenty opportunities as far as jobs, intership...?
Thank you.

It depends on what exactly what you want to do. If you wanted to do journalism or something that would have to do with TV news in on television, I'd say communications or the such. Film would be more for movies or involving with the production elements of TV programs.

I imagine major cities like san francisco, chicago, boston, atlanta, vancouver, and toronto would be pretty good for internships

That is correct, but if you went to a strong mass communications program because you wanted to do something with television news, Western Kentucky University would be a great school. They are highly regarded in broadcast journalism, mass coummunications, and sports journalism and many employers recruit there.

Wilmington, North Carolina hasn't been mentioned and it has a rapidly expanding role in the movie industry. North Carolina - Wilmington has strong film and business programs but as for Communications/Television I am ignorant.
