Help!

I already submitted my Penn app, but I forgot to add that I was a black belt in Taekwondo. I thought I had listed it, but when I checked my app after I submitted it wasn’t there…Is there anyway I can tell the adcoms that, or make an addition to my app?

im not sure, i think being good at martial arts would add a different color to your overall application.

but i think it would sound really silly if u called them or emailed them simply stating that u have a blackbelt in taekwondo. something like that won't make or break u. if u are qualified, i think u could still get in w/o something so trivial. if, however, martial arts was a big part of ur profile (like u won tournaments or talked about it in ur essay), it could be a bigger problem

my advice is to determine how important that little detail is, and then decide if u want to notify the admissions office or not

e-mail ur regional director and tell her how much martial arts means to u and how it has impacted ur life

keep it short though

lol ns, i can't tell if ur kidding or not. u might well be serious

Well I didn't talk about it in any of my essays but it helped me become a stronger person mentally (sounds cliched I know). Like I was the shy kid, and after taekwondo I became more outspoken. Don't knwo if that's such an important detail though

I was being serious, just don't make it cheesy and make it sound BS.

this is similar to people w/ eagle scout award...it requires the same level of commitment and passion to something that means to u.

Its the same as playing piano for 10 years.

Not trying to be a pessimist but I doubt being a black belt will affect your admissions chances. It's fairly common to a point where it doesn't stand out to the adcom's.

well would you want an orange belt or a black belt at your college?

having more black belts ensures a safer campus.

(im joking this time)
