Candidates at the summer seminar take the CFT, right?

72 pushups in a minute.. right. ;]

This is what I did on my Coast Guard test:
Situps: 75/2 min
Push-ups: 20
1.5 Mile: 13:00

I did bad on the AFA test though. Like really bad on the pushups because the examiner didn't count many of the ones that I did and the mile run because it was on a square track and I was constantly turning which slowed me down. I sent them a letter saying this. I think they're gonna let me do a retest.

Square track.Who would design that. That sucks im sorry.

Yeah it was an indoor track...it was bad!

ksenior07, I agree with the square track.

do you know if they would allow me to retest?

Talk with your admissions counselor. If you truly did fail, then they may allow you to retake it if your other scores make you worth their time. Don't mean to sound rude about that, that's just been my experience. I had to retake for West Point, but USAFA just took my first scores even though they were complete crap. But I can do pull-ups now!!! :) Haha, sadly enough, that's big for me.

To answer the question about SS, yes...you will take the CFT there. It'll also give you a feel for how much high altitude sucks. :P

Do they take the high altitude into physical consideration?

In what way do you mean?

They don't count the one you take at SS, if you goto Air Force, because of the altitude. However, if you goto Navy or Army, I hear they do count it.

I'll ask my admissions counselor because I think everything else I have is pretty good: 3.93/4.0 GPA
I meet their SAT requirements
Girl Scout Gold Award recipient
lots of community service
some leadership too
