so i have screwed up royally. i had not until this evening sent my SAT scores to the UC system, i had not been notified that i needed to either. So even though i was notified that i need to interview for Berkley regents, what are my chances of actually getting in? will they forgive me for being an idiot? Or were my stats so good that they did not need them?

wow! where have you been? o_O Good news: People who receive regents from Berkeley are guaranteed to be admitted, at least to my knowledge. Bad news: There are some conditions, very rare though, in which one can get turned down even after receiving the regents scholarship. Recommendation: Better call them up and tell them your situation.

Actually, Regents scholars are not guaranteed admission, rather, in order to be a Regents Scholar you must be admitted. Berkeley, in all its awesomeness, is quite a bureaucratic machine. I'm sure they'll receive your scores, but its always worth it to call the admissions office.

Good Luck and

GO BEARS!

(your post worried me so I just checked to make sure I sent them!)

Just read UC's FAQ's-
"If the University does not have official score reports on file by late January, your admission may be jeopardized."

Since it doesn't say there is an absolute deadline and only says, "MAY be jeopardized", I think you have some breathing room.
