Hi people, I have just received my acceptance mail - LSA, residential college. I would just like to check what's residential college all about. actually i've read up on it, but just want to have a deeper understanding. Also, let's say if i wish to transfer to ross school of business, can i do so? is it after the first year? Thanks in advance for helping. really q confused.

I am not sure what sort of "deeper" understanding you seek, but I know a few things about the residential college.

1) It is a small LAC within the university. Students live in East Quad and take classes together for the most part.

2) Like many LACs, the RC has an "artsy" feel. The students at the RC are typically very liberal and sometimes on the "original" side.

3) You can definitely transfer to Ross from the RC. RC is an arm of the college of LSA, so you would not be treated any differently. Just take the required classes such as intro to Macro and Micro, Calculus I and English writing and you'll be fine.

Hi Alexandre,

thank you for ur reply. just have a few more qns. so if i transfer to Ross school, can i still complete my undegraduate studies in three years? including the time spent in RC. and what's LAC? do you know of anyone who's in the RC?

Perhaps I wasn't clear. The RC is part of the college of LSA. Transfering into Ross from the RC is the same as transfering into Ross from the College of LSA. So yes, you are supposed to graduate from Ross in three years.
