I am a high school junior. I have a 4.3 on a 4.0 scale (3.98 unweighted). This September I'm taking the ACT for the first time. I am ranked 20 in a class of 530. A few of my literary works were published in our school's literary magazine. Also, I am vice president of our school's Diversity Club, corresponding secretary of History Club, and a member of Art Club and NHS. I participate in competitive artistic roller skating and practice about three hours six days per week, with this I have won eight national and regional metals and have been nominated for Michigan Skater of the Year a few times. For community service (I do at least 11 hours/week), I work as an assistant for my former chemistry teacher Wednesday's after school, I volunteer at the Michigan Humane Society every weekend, I teach a roller skating for beginner and advanced class, and I voluteer and job shadow at the hospital near my house (which is nationally ranked). Also, this summer I did a medical program at Michigan Tech, next summer I will probably do a study/volunteer abroad or something like that.

Think I have a shot??

You do sound like you would be competitive. Can you visit? Showing interest never hurts. They have a strong community service orientation, so your volunteer work would be seen favorably. My son chose Grinnell over 9 other schools and he's very happy there (so far--it's his first week). The campus is beautiful and we've liked everyone we've met there. Good luck.
