help

i have like 3.87 in ~60 units of coursework so far, however, this semester I currently have a C in calculus, i'm trying to bring it up, even got a tutor... but if i do end up with a C, will that ruin my chancs for UCLA?? oh yah im applying to biz econ too lol

I doubt, i mean, its all about the GPA. If your gpa stays the same, then i wouldnt worry about it. Just keep it at a 3.85 +

Its not just about gpa. Its about gpa in course prereqs. But then again the average gpa for bizecon last year was 3.81. But I doubt that you would would get in even if you maintained 3.87 combined with a C in a major prereq. If you are applying this quarter, I would suggest dropping it,(without record of course). But the downside to dropping the class is that you would have one less prereq by the time you apply. If you have most of your prereqs done, and are just missing one or two, then it shouldn't be a disavantage. I've known plenty of people didn't finish all prereqs by the time of application with similar GPAs and still got in to Cal and UCLA.

x14, it doesn't matter when you complete your prereqs, so long as they are finished by the time of enrollment (spring semester/quarter usually).

^ yeah i think if you don't think you can keep that grade to a B/A then it's better to drop it without the record and take it in winter/spring prior to transfer.
