Help!

i didn’t get confirmation from Bowdoin about receiving my application…have you?

Bowdoin sends a confirmation for every application it receives. I would advise you to contact the Admissions Office ASAP.

great, thanks.

I haven't either. I thought this was weird as well. Hmmm

i'm in the same boat. i submitted my app on the 30th of december and still have not received any confirmation. this is scary. what should i do?

My GC told me that I should be fine, and only to worry if they contact me and say they don't have something. I don't know about that... but I'm guessing there's a lot more of us in this situation.

I submitted mine Dec. 3 and the supplement on Dec. 30 and just received my letter last week. You should have got something, just call them

I just got my letter a few days ago--you should be getting it soon too.

I sent mine on the deadline date... maybe that's why it's taking a while.

Did your application end up being okay?

well, mine did. woo!

yeah, i got a couple letters saying that they had my app fee, materials, etc.

Oh that's good. I would be so nervous if I found out anything was wrong with my application. My friend applied to a school in our state and hand-delivered her entire application in one envelope. Then they called her a couple weeks later to tell her that part of her application was missing...Needless to say, she was not happy.

i got a notification that my application was complete when i never actually even did the supplement! my mom found out yesterday they were like "thank you for applying to bowdoin, your application is complete and we are reviewing it" I sent them the common app, all my recs and scores and transcripts etc. but not the supplement. my sister goes there so maybe they gave me some leeway? i dunno, i wasnt planning in applying after i got into g-town EA

i think apps can go complete without the supplement, although it may be to your detriment. not that it matters, given that you got into your first-choice school. congratulations! if financial aid is not an issue for your, you may want to retract your application at bowdoin to give other students who really want to go a better chance at admission.
