hi frens,
I have given SAT in december and got only 1850. I have applied to about 12 moderate colleges and i will be accepted in many of them. But i want to study in Ivies esp. Havard. So I want to apply in Havard as ED this year. I m preparing for SAT 1 and plan to give it in may and june. I will give SAT 2 i n OCtober. I hope to get 2150 in SAT 1. My high school GPA is 3.5 and my ECA is also good. I have done a lot of volunteers and I was the captain of school cricket and basketball. Should I not be enrolled in any colleges this year? By the way I am an international Student. What should I do? Suggest.

Harvard doesn’t have ED

You probably won’t get into Harvard with those stats. Even if you get your 2150, or whatever, you’ll still be at the bottom of the pack. Don’t worry, though, you’ll get into plenty of fine colleges. Just don’t put all your eggs in the Harvard basket.

The mean SAT score for Harvard is about 2280 give or take 50 pts. You should probably aim higher…

I am a Harvard student and I personally know international students who scored around 600-650 on the SAT critical reading. Don’t listen to other people, you have a chance. Make sure you study hard and get your exam grades up. And yes, it is easier to be admitted as a freshman than as a transfer student. But are you willing to put your life on hold for a full year just for a small chance to get into the school of your dreams?

true..on what steve is saying…don’t listen on knit and tobman.
My friend got 1900 on the SAT I and got accepted. He ain’t hispanic nor poor.

are you sure?
He’s an international student or…?
