Hi all,
I'm going to be a pre-pharmacy major at uconn next year. I was wondering what the best dorm is for someone who likes their own quiet space (to study and all).... closest to the science buildings, and most convenient.

Also, how difficult are the science classes at uconn (as a pharm major)? How competitive is pharmacy at Uconn?

Eh, they're all about the same, but Northwest (the freshman-only dorm) has some nice study rooms. Towers might also be good for that (I wouldn't know, haven't been in the buildings much), but it's farther away from everything. Either way, you can't pick your dorm as a freshman, so it doesn't really matter. McMahon has a nice big quiet study room, but you won't get in there as a freshman. South A is also awesome, but that's reserved for honors juniors and seniors.

North and Northwest are right across from most of the science buildings; they are the best location (in terms of distance) for science and math classes.

Depends entirely on your own ability, it's impossible for me to say how hard you will find a class.
