Help!

Im a junior already. I know i have to take SAT and the ACT to get to the college of my dream. The thing is, I dont know if i should apply for Octobers SAT. I mean, just by reading some peoples post who say they gotten 2000+ without even studying and falling asleep kinda makes me feel uneasy cuz the same thing happen to me on a practice SAT and i got 1500. :(. i have been studying for the SAT for awhile now but i dont know if i should take it this October. i also heard that u can pick whichever SAT score u want to present to colleges but im not sure if its true. and i know for sure that colleges look at ur first SAT score and i want that first SAT score to be kick ***. so should i take the SAT this October or should i wait for another day?

wrong time to post this since everyones SAT scores came in?

If you have the money and the patience to sit through multiple SATs, I would say go for the October test. If you perform poorly on the upcoming test, you can take multiple others and receive a composite "superscore", which consists of your best scores for each section of the SAT 1 over all of the tests you've taken.

Furthermore, the class of '10 and on can simply hide scores from the colleges (see link), so if you perform very poorly, nobody needs to know :-)
