Help!!

Okay so I just want to make sure… for Pre-Business in College of Letters and Sciences, you get NO credit for getting a 3,4,5 on the Gov and Politics AP test? Cuz I signed up for this but am going to drop it tomorrow if I’m not going to get any credit for it…

I looked at that website for the College of Letters and Sciences requirements and the like, and as far as what I understand from that, I don’t get any credit for Gov. But can anyone who knows FOR A FACT or who GOES TO CAL confirm this??

And just for future wonderings… can anyone tell me whether I’ll get credit for my other ap tests?
Euro History 4
Biology 5
Calc AB 5
Physics Mech 4
US History 5
Calc BC N/A
Statistics N/A
English Lit N/A

dude, one thing about AP credit is that most of the time you don't really want to use it.

I mean I can skip physics, bio 1a/1b, and chem 1a/1b, plus econ and calc, but I choose not to because first of all if you know the material already it will be an easy A, and AP classes are nothing compared to college classes. So you might end up short-changing yourself.

By now, you must have already paid the $82 for the test, so why not take it?

Of my 10 AP tests, only 2 count for courses (CompSci BC, Calculus AB), however I will be retaking those courses because I know over the summer I will forget them and I will learn more.

The benefit of having 10 AP tests done? Provided I pass the 7 this year, I'll have a total of 34.7 units completed--that is just a little over one year.

Now I'll be retaking CS61B and Math1A so I'll lose (2 x 2.7) 5.4 units so I'll have 29.3 units, still almost a full year.

http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/faq/ap.html

5.3 for Euro, 5.3 Bio, 2.7 Calc AB, 2.7 Phys Mech, 5.3 US History, 2.7 BC, 2.7 Stats, 5.3 English lit = 32 units

You'll get 2.7 units for the Gov, unless you did Comparative Gov too.

AP credit can't be used for L&S breadth, but you'll still be getting plenty of credit. If you're an engineer or something, yeah you might want to take the courses over to make sure you really know the stuff. But for pre-business, it probably doesn't matter.

Thanks a bunch BigBrother... where do you get that I will get 2.7 units for gov though?

From that site I linked you to. You definitely will get the 2.7 units, I checked on my Degree Audit Report, and it's giving me 2.7 units for that AP class.
