This may be off topic a bit, but I have $3300 in a hospital bill, and i have no means to pay it at all. All I have is Montgomery GI bill and hopefully a bunch of financial aid coming. Also, I was thinking... I worked for like a week in Aug.. if I file taxes, am I entitled to a bunch of stimulus money? (I saw that on TV). I didn't file taxes the past 2 years because i didn't earn anything.

Probably not. If you are talking about the 2008 stimulus you had to have at least some earned income ($3000 I think) to qualify for it unless you were a SS recipient, then it was based on SS income. This years stimulus payments are coming in the form of reduced taxes on monthly paychecks starting later in the year (June I am thinking offhand). Again SS recipients will get some, not sure what the process for that is.

ahh. I regret going to the hospital; all they did was give me Tylenol…
I’m hoping the VA can work something out. After all, i’m a post 9-11 veteran. why do I not have insurance? Veterans get discriminated against… everyone thinks we’re dumb or mentally damaged.

I hope you can find help through VA. Good luck.

Another thing is that I may get some grants soon — I’m way below the poverty level and I have zero family support. I read that a pell grant may be a check i can use to pay this off. I will get free tuition next year. Also my GPA is 4 (but my cumulative is 2.5)
