Help!

I applied to Duke without much hope of getting in but I got waitlisted which is surprising when i saw the stats of the other waitlisted students ( much better than mine). So do I have much of a chance to get off the waitlist? and can you please chance me for Hopkins and Dartmouth? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Getting into any of these top schools is such a crapshoot these days its hard to say whether a waitlist in one = acceptance or rejection at another. Just try not to take it too seriously - you’re bound to get a great education no matter where you go. It might help if you said which school (within Duke) you applied to, though. Sometimes a certain program at one school will be harder/easier to get into than at another.

Best of Luck!

p.s. I got waitlisted as well :(

I applied to trinity

you stand as good a chance of gettin off the waitlist as anyone else. if you really want to go to duke then be sure to show how interested you are in going to duke (but without being obnoxious) because if/when they start calling kids that got waitlisted they want them to be people that will take the offer.

as for chancing you on hopkins and dartmouth…i really couldn’t say. you look like you should have as good of a chance as anyone else though so good luck
