Help!

So, I want to register for the June SAT test this year, my sophomore year. Just to see what its all like and such. Will this damage ANYTHING for college admissions assuming I retake it next year ect? Is collegeboard the place to register?

uh u have to take it…

Its not required, but I’m just wondering if it will DAMAGE anything at all. Ive heard of people taking it up to 4 times in their HS careers.

ohh…well a lot of schools do require it…idk whih ones you are applying to…but anyway

uh you can take it as MANY times as you like…and plus its a great way to “donate” your moneyz to teh collegeboardz (lol)

but i am not very certain as to whether or not it could hurt you if you take it like 4 or more times…i think the best way is to take it, at most, 3 times and then stop there. and also, seriously, how many times do you want to take it? its freaking tiring

I need somebody.
Help!
Not just anybody.
Help!
You know I need someone.
Hehh-eh-elp!

If you dont feel prepared dont take it

i got
560-M
560-R
520-W
in 8th grade
and
710-SAT2 Bio
9th grade

And there is a new policy where you submit your best SAT score so colleges dont see the other scores.

But some colleges are too cool for that and dont follow it. Such as Stanford, Harvard and other ones,

Colleges see all the SAT scores that you’ve taken while in HS. Why don’t you just wait to take the PSAT in the fall?

Take it, it’s not a big deal.

So it does hurt to take the SAT early? :(

I would suggest not doing it since some colleges (Stanford, Yale, Georgetown) want to see all scores now. Wait for the PSAT and if you really wanna know what it’s like grab some practice tests they’re all over the place. Why do you want to take the SAT early? If you thought you could do well and get it over with that’s one thing, but an official practice test would suffice to see what it’s like.

No! Your at a great advantage. Take it early because it gives you oppurtunity to retake if you don’t like your scores. I’m a junior and I’d wish I took it sooner because that would leave more time to retake and more subject tests. Btw I think you missed the June deadline if you’re asking if collegeboard is the place to go at this point.

I took it in 7th grade and freshman year and am glad I did.

Just do a practice test

Just do a practice test, then the PSAT fall of junior year which should tell you all you need to know to prep for SATs in winter/spring of junior year. I would not count on the ‘cherry picking’ policy that CB has being in place at all colleges.
That being said, if you haven’t done any/many of these sorts of tests, and want to see what it is like ‘live’ , go ahead. Taking the SATs twice is fine, three is probably okay, but more than that , I think serves little purpose.

I would actually suggest just a different month. I took it in June last year in my school (no A/C) and it was one of the worst days ever to take a test. I felt nauseated while taking it, though I did fine.

March was perfect. I took my first SAT then. Consider taking a SAT II for something you already took this year in June, if anything for this year. That would help lots!
