<p>i don't know wat the hell my GPA is (couselor says its like a 5.0 weighted) but i had all A's in 9th and 10th grade with an exception of math in freshmen year and english last year. This year i think i have a B+ in a.p bio and a B+ in american and a B in english... not positive! watz the chance i'll get accepted anywhere? i go to edgemont which is a really competive high school so it is difficult to get good grades, but still!!! HELP</p>
<p>Just don't worry about it--you will get in somewhere. People here a lot of times act like there's no middle ground between Ivy Leauge and community college. There is. For a lot of people, your scores are very good, and your grades are still good. If you want to be a practicing doctor, where you go to college/med school doesn't really matter anyway, frankly. You can be successful in anything from any college. Just don't worry so much.</p>
<p>With the HEOP program, I think you may have a fighting chance for NYU. For Cornell, you need to get your SATs up. Your SAT IIs are solid for Cornell but not exceptional; if you do qualify, PLEASE do HEOP. It puts you at an advantage in the admissions process (for NY State schools) and you get several perks I believe.</p>
<p>Sophie Davis: You need higher standardized test scores, but they really go by your GPA. What is your GPA? </p>
<p>Boston University and UConn: It depends on what HS you go to, really. For example, BU loves schools such as Stuy, BxSci, Townsend Harris, but you don't see many from neighborhood NYC schools.</p>
