Help!

I was doing some research on UCLA's website and came across this article:

History/Art History Interdepartmental Program

I was planning on applying as an Art History major. Does this mean UCLA is no longer offering Art History as a major?

They just got rid of the History/Art history major.

Art History is still a major.

Ohh… Thanks, that makes sense. Haha, I feel stupid.

By the looks of it, they no longer offer the Art History/History Interdepartmental major. This major is separate from the Art History major so you’re fine.

After looking through UCLA’s Art History department website, it looks like the above link you posted only applies to people applying to the History/Art History interdepartmental program, which is a special program that combines history & art history courses. However, if you’re applying as an Art History major, this doesn’t apply to you. You’ll be able to be admitted as an Art History major.

Looks like the Art History Department is still accepting applicants as usual. It’s only the History/Art History Interdepartmental Program that no longer accepts applicants, not the actual Art History major. You’re good. :)
