Help!!!

Does my ssat score 2136(73%) have any chance to get into Lawrenencevile school?
And what is the minimum ssat score to get into Lawrencevile?

PS:I am a international student. And the interviewer said that my interview was impressive. Also,my ECs and GPA are fair.

lawrenceville is very selective.
but u’ll do fine!

yes you have a good chance the SSAT is just apart of your transcript, they will notice that your SSAT scores don’t match your grades and they will understand.

GOOD LUCK :D

P.S. a good interview is very good because that is the admissions personal impression of you so its really good that you had a good interview

ouchh 73?

If the rest of your transcript is strong you should be fine! But make sure to keep your grades up… not all of us are natural testers!

Also, there is no minimum SSAT or SAT for any school, it is a very “wholistic” process.

If I were you I would retake it in January… and study a lot for it! Since you now know what the test is like, the pressure should be less and the questions easier.

thanks for everyone~ and is there any effective way to improve my poor verbal score(about 630 40%)? i think it’s really tough!

I would recommend looking up Sparknotes list of 1000 most common SAT words, learning those helped me a lot on practices.

Also read some good books, like classics, not like twilight and whatnot, try to find vocab, highlight it and look it up, also, remembering the context it was used in helps alot

Umm…What grade are you in? Because, I got an exactly 2136 but my total percentage was 84%

thanks. now, i am confident about my next ssat for suggestions that you give.
i am grade 9,maybe you are a grade 8 student?

I think you did well, especially if english isn’t your first language(unsure if it is or not)… I think people here do really well and make it seem like you have to score in the 90s to go anywhere. While this helps it’s not a must.

really?but i suppose that the not distinguished GPA and ECs force me to do well,at least fair, in ssat for applying to L’vile etc.

Yeah I am an eighth grader, that explains it, haha
