okay guys I have a question, I'm a freshman in high school and I really screwed up my first semester of high school I got 1 D, 1 C and 2 B's which gives me a 2.2 GPA, is there still a chance if I work really hard to get into a good university? My dream school is University of Georgia but I hear out of state competition is really big! thanks. x

You have plenty of time for a school like UG.

Yes plenty plenty

Some universities disregard the freshman year so I hear. I dont know if they do this a UG but they might. Also an upward trend is looked upon very favorably, which you will have by default I’m assuming.

I’ve read in many “how to get into a great college” books that most admissions depts are fairly forgiving of less than stellar grades freshman year – particularly if there is a (preferably dramatic) upward trend subsequently. Bear down on this. You have time, but start turning it around right away. Good luck!

bump bump bump :)

You’re a freshman…
