Help!!!

I am going to play football at an Ivy and am deciding between Dartmouth, Brown and Penn. I have decided that I want to go to school at Dartmouth but play football at Brown and live in Philadelphia which is kind of a problem. I want to have the social life at Dartmouth where it seems like people have more fun with the big Greek life. Browns football is pretty good as Ivies go and they pass a lot, I am a wide receiver. But I visited Philadelphia and think it would be really cool to live in a big city because I grew up in a "city" in Montana (more like village compared to Philadelphia). I know ultimately I should go with what I want but I just want some advice.

The academics at all these schools are great so that doesn't really affect my decision that much except that Brown has that cool open curriculum thing.

I’ve decided that I want to work in NY, surf in Hawaii, and live in California.

I’ve decided that I want to date Michael, be married to John, and live with Stephen.

You need to make a decision. Everyone has to give up something when they make a decision.

Why do you need to choose one of these schools now? You (presumably) haven’t sent any applications in yet. Each of these schools admits less than 20% of their applicants, which means, chances are, not all of them would accept you anyway. Apply first, figure out where you want to go after you know which schools will have you.

If your question is regarding ED - if you don’t know which one you like best, you shouldn’t be doing ED anyway.

All the coaches said they would give me an offer when I do official visits in January (which isn’t early decision) and if they give me an offer I will get a likely letter that means I will be most likely be accepted unless something weird happens like I fail my senior year or something. I have to decide by then and I am just thinking about it now.

Michael, huh, mom2collegekids? :)

Brown is also in a city. Providence is nowhere near as big as Philly but it might be an easier adjustment for someone from Montana. Brown social life should be great too.
