Helpful Tool for College Search: Wikipedia

I've found that Wikipedia has a lot of basic information about colleges and their top programs. It's a nice way to find a centralized database of information which includes links for more information if you need it. Our friends used Wikipedia this year and found it to be very accurate in providing up-to-date information about colleges and programs which they offer. For example, here are 3 links to schools so you can see format:

East Coast: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvard

MidWest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_University

West Coast: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UCLA

I hope you all find this helpful.

Yeah i have found that site somewhat helpful for researching some schools and learn about there history, still most of the info on there can be found on the schools own site

I've found it to be spotty. When I looked up Sweet Briar College, there was almost nothing. When I looked up Wellesley there was not only a lot of information but a link to the article about '**** truck,' the bus that takes Wellesley students to Harvard or MIT. (I think it's tacky that they didn't call it the Wellesley Senate Bus, and even that they included it at all, but still, that's thurough.)

yea, my friend, when she went to harvard summer school mentioned the **** truck too. Those wellesley girls have some reputation, eh?

Hmm, if we're analyzing online sources, Google Earth can give you an idea of what the campus looks like! :p
