<p>Since WV is your home, definitely apply to WVU. If I am correct, WV has a program that allows a student to receive free tuition if he or she has 3.0 and more than 1000 in the SAT. As for the others, UVA is tough, because 67 percent of all admissions must come from Virginia. The Ivys are … the Ivys.</p>

<p>You should not post your real name, for future reference. You list is a little unbalanced- Penn, Swarthmore, and Cornell are really hard to get into, and UVa is hard for out of state. Being from West Virginia may help, because it is not a state that inundates these schools with applications. Maybe you should consider a few schools like U of Rochester, Rice, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, even JHU. U Maryland is easier than UVa.</p>
