im sure this has been answered before but...

i got 3's on my ap tests and im getting credit for them from my igetc but i heard a rumor that i wont get credit for them if i go to ucla or berkeley since neither of them accept 3's

any truth to that?

jjfkljdfa fmlll.

It honestly depends on the specific test. I have heard of UCLA/UCB only accepting 4 or 5’s for a specific test to take the required class out of the way…

v thanks for the links. I was googling them myself. [:

Sometimes a simple google search can save you a lot of stress and time :)

so like for pierce college, it says for us history i get credit for a 3 in igetc area 4…on that link it says for us history it satisfies American History and Institutions requirement.

im sorry if it sounds stupid, but do i need to take an igetc area 4 class ?

No. Where you would have a problem is if you’re trying to cover two different areas with one AP test to get IGETC certified. Neither Berkeley or UCLA will care if you used your US history AP test to satisfy an IGETC requirement.
