sooo choosing a college to dorm it at is extremely hard :[[
so im really social, i love to go to partiesss :] and i like meeting new people
im not really a nerd or extremely academic but i do take school seriously
i dont wanna live in a college where everyone is strictly books
basically, which college is the most social and parties the most?? i want my college experience to be fun
please help, thanks :]]

what are you choosing from?

from what i’ve heard its a good bet going for college 9,10, or the kersge apartments. Porter sounds fun, but its like a fresman dorm living style. crowded and an older building, etc.

What is the best college if you don’t really want to be up all night partying and want a quiet place to retreat to?

I’d say go for Merrill. It’s kind of separated from the other colleges, but has gorgeous views. People there tend to be more studious than Porter, Kresge, and 9.

k00lkid, i don’t go to ucsc yett, but i just submitted my SIR here and i’ve been learning alot about the colleges to try and choose. I’d say you’re like me and would enjoy cowell and stevenson. Those were my top two choices. Or if you want newer dorms, but still a bit of the party scene, i’d go with college 9/10.

Porter definitely. Kresge maybe. and I hear they party a lot at Oakes.
The reason I say Porter is because there is only one freshman dorm building at the moment, so everyone is really close and you know almost everyone there. Friends from other colleges have said that they only know the people on their floor and thats sad! At Porter, there is always something going down, but there are also places where you can study and get **** done. Also! Next year you will be in a brand new building! So it wont be so crowded. You also have direct entrance to the Meadow, which will be very convenient. You also have laundry rooms, a luxury I do not have at the moment.

But Im pretty biased. I must say though, that next year all the problems we had this year will go away. Construction is still a pain, but you wont have to deal with internet or laundry room issues.
