what to do

Analyze what questions you’re missing, then come back to us with some specifics. We can’t help if we don’t know a bit more about what you’re struggling with.

All the verbal section requires is practice. Buy a book of like 10 practice tests and just do the CR sections. Honestly, all the types of questions can be put into like 5 templates, there are patterns.

In my view (and this is just a personal thing I guess), you can’t really improve your verbal score. Atleast not over a short span of time by preparing for one test. Practice papers will certainly help you sort out the time management aspect and mugging word lists might give you an extra answer here or there but i dont know, i never managed to holistically improve my verbal score. I remember when I took a diagnostic SAT for the first time I got like 760 on the verbal section (!) and yet i never managed to replicate that in nearly a year of SAT prep and got a 680 in the actual SAT that I took.

I don’t want to discourage you but i dont think there’s anyway to learn how to do better on the verbal. To me, it’s a matter of luck, about getting a passage you understand on the actual day.
