Hendrix at 18K a year. Great job valuable. Wonderful job by you and Mr. Frost.

Hendrix sure shows some serious character in still granting substantial merit awards this time of year. They should get a rousing ovation from all of us parents for playing the game fairly and not taking unfair advantage of the situation. Hip! Hip! Hooray!

Great job ,Hendrix. Class act. I'll remember it and toot y'alls horn when I can. Darn, I wish D would not think of y'all as in the next county (too close to home). LOL.

well kenyon notified me and said that the waitlist will not be used this year. after receiving an additional scholarship from hendrix (12000 all together) I will be attending there next fall. Thank you to everyone who has helped me through the process. your thoughtful words and advice is appreciated. who would have thought i appplied to 10 schools, 1 ED to CA, 1 EA to CA and MA, and I end up attending the one I applied late to! Weird how things work out.

valuable,

I hope you will keep us posted about Hendrix! I think it will be a wonderful experience for you. Have a great time.

That's wonderful, valuable. I really think the school will do right by you. Look at the truly exceptional way they have handled this situation. Congrats on the extra three thousand they left for you at the "will call" window. LOL. I bet that was a surprise.

I really want everyone to stand and give this college, Hendrix, a round of applause. They had this kid over the proverbial barrel and instead of taking the advantage they took the high ground. If any Hendrix adcoms, or FA people ever read this, just wanted you to know I'm a real fan of how you handled this situation for this student. Bravo.

Valuable, that is excellent news, and as Cur points out, a real testament to Hendrix that they would still award merit even at this late date. Many schools would leave you up the proverbial creek without a paddle. This confirms what I have witnessed with the kids that apply there during RD: Hendrix is very generous with merit money and good with financial aid as well. It is a real bargain, both in terms of the academic quality and the actual financial picture.

If Hendrix were located in the Northeast, I think it would be a very, very popular school. But shhhhhh! Keep it a secret for at least another year as my daughter is planning on applying there next year.

I am so pleased for you!

Valuable, forgot to ask you to PLEASE come back in the fall and give us a full report.

And, I do think that sometimes life has a funny way of taking you to places you didn't expect but were meant to be for some larger reason. All the best to you!!!!!!
