Hey, I am new here!
I am applying to NYU ED and I am doing it through HEOP.
I am pretty much low income and my SAT was 1040...but then I took it again and like an idiot got a 950 (don't ask!)...also my GPA is a 3.0. I did alot of school activities, including being a president of a club, and a class rep. in the city council, I have 5 college level courses...point is: what is my chance of getting into NYU under HEOP?!!!!!! help!!!

I think you have a really good chance. I know someone who had the same situation, and got in. I think you should also contact the HEOP office. you'll be amazed at how your calls can make a difference. Also I know that there are no place where you can indicate that you want to be considered for heop but you should write it on the top of the application. If you did not do that you should call admissions and ask if your application has been transferred to the heop office. HOPE this helps!

no chance at all. SAT WAY TOO LOW!

he got accepted.

Why did you bring up a chances thread from 3 years ago? This person is finishing up their sophomore year in college right now.

^
...ya lol

lol, did not realize until after i posted

yeah, this is way old. I dont know what HEOP is but a 3.0 gpa and a 1000 sat is nowhere near enough. Even if he had a 4.0 i doubt he would get in.
