Hepatitis B immunizations

I had these years ago. (Required to enter my school district in jr high) UCD just asked for the dates when I looked on the myadmissions page and it says I am checked off for that reqirement. I notice UCSD requires a form signed by your doctor. Do we need to send in some kind of form, or is the online questionaire with dates all there is?

You should probably get an official record of immunization from you hospital. They must have your immunization records b4 the on-campus health center will allow you to make appointments. But you can do that anytime, there's no deadline, so you can just wait til once u get there.

I think I'm correct, but I just want to be sure... We only need the series of 3 shots that were required in middle school right, not a whole new set?

thanks

You don't need another set of Hep B shots but you are probably wise to get a meningitis shot before living in the dorms. Also, whooping cough is relatively prominant in Davis (lots of high school kids get it and many college kids play sports that overlap with the local kids), so that is one of the booster shots you might consider getting (most primary care docs will push for you to update these before heading off, including tetanus). Other shots to keep you healthy during the stressful times of finals are the flu shot and pneumonia shot if you are predisposed to respiratory infections or are in a special health category (asthma, diabetic, etc) but most people in these categories already have specialty docs pushing for these vaccinations (and it is too early for this year's flu shot). There is also the newly released papillomavirus series of shots that would be a good idea but may not be available through your health care providers yet.
