Got accepted to Boston University and require hepatitis B immunization. I have not been immunized. I plan on getting immunized tommorow, but according to the documentation, you need 3 shots. I never knew about this required shot. Im curious to know if they let students in that have not had all 3 required shots? Is it possible for me to get the first shot here, then 2 shots in the University?

That's something you'll need to call the university to ask -- no one here will be able to give a definitive answer.

the hep B series is 3 shots. if you have the first tomorrow, the second will be one month from tomorrow and the third will be 6 months from tomorrow. (maybe 7, i'm not sure if it's 6 months from the first or second). either way, you'll be done with the series before you start school next fall.

at my university the health clinic offered the first shot over move in weekend. as long as you start the series by the time you move in you should be ok.

all universities will require this. you're supposed to get it around 16-18 years old.

Alright, thanks, that gives me much comfort. Im leaving to school in about 2 weeks.

2nd shot will be in 2 months, 3rd will be in 4 months.

They give you a little sheet that tells you about it when they give you the first shot.
The 2nd shot needs to be 1-2 months from the 1st shot, and the 3rd shot needs to be 2 months from 2nd and 4 from the first.

my old school required that i needed to get those shots before starting. i have not gotten a single hep B shot since. im a junior now. har har har, suckers.

just liked to share a little something.
