I have a BSEE from University of Texas graduated with a GPA of 2.74
I am currently at Santa Clare University, and I am in the Masters of Engineering Management Program
My Graduating GPA will be a 4.0/4.0 and I am ranked number 1
GRE Q760 V 500 W 4 something

I have research experience in the focus of operations research totaling aroung 9 months, no publications. I will have 2 solid rec letters and one ok/good rec.

I want to stay in California but I don't think i have the stats to apply to any good schools what schools would you guys recommend ? safety schools? and longshot schools? I am also up for moving back to texas or NY, and when I say "I am up for it" I mean its all my wife will allow. So Cali,NY,TX

Please post the truth my feelings won't be hurt I just want honesty, Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, why those three states? They have almost nothing in common except coastlines…

I know nothing about schools in your field, but with such an impressive upward trend, you should definitely apply. I’d ask some of the faculty about their opinions, especially recent grads. I thought that masters was about as high as you really ever need in engineering, though maybe management is different. Good luck!
