Hi all :) I'm currently a freshman at Rutgers New Brunswick. I am in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) and am a member of Douglass Residential College. I came in as an animal science/pre-vet major, however, I am now a biology major. If you have any questions regarding Rutgers University or college life in general, I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. Please, no "chance me's" because I do not think I'm very good at them. If you'd like, I can post my stats and the schools I was accepted to for you to compare. Other than that, ask me about classes (such as the infamous expository writing), transportation/bus system, campuses, housing/dorm life, social/party life, orientation, activities, etc. I am only a freshman, so I most certainly will not have an answer to all of your questions; but I do have the whole college application process and first semester experience fresh in my head, so hopefully that is of value to you guys. Ask away!

" If you’d like, I can post my stats and the schools I was accepted to for you to compare."

Can you do that?

how’s the diversity on campus??

the diversity vary in each campus.

Busch= tons of asians (including indians) since most of science majors are here
College ave= pretty diverse
Livingston= pretty diverse
Cook/douglass= pretty diverse

are all the gyms at rutgers free if you’re a student enrolled at any of the rutgers nb schools? or is there some membership required? if they are free, is it safe to keep valuable items locked in to the lockers there?
also, which gym is the best?

all they gym is free for students as long as you bring your student ID with you. The best gym would be in easton ave(you walked a few minutes from scott hall bus stop) and busch 2nd. And please bring a lock if you decide to use a locker.

Are you part of the Honors program at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences? If you are what is the interview process like?
