Hereford College, Bice House or Lambeth Field Apartments?

Hi guys,

I am a fourth year student who will be attending UVa as an exchange student from fall semester.
I am in the middle of filling a housing application and I would really like some help from students who have lived on campus.

I have already decided my first choice, which is Brown College, and I am trying to decide my second and third choice for the housing application. Since it'll be my first and only year at UVa, I would love to live in an environment where there is a strong sense of community with opportunities to meet many people, and hopefully get the whole "American college experience".

If you have lived in one of these residential colleges or apartments or know who have done so, I would like to know what kind of atmosphere each of them offer, their pros and cons and such.

FYI I am not thinking about IRC, because I feel like I would end up spending more time with exchange students than other UVa students.

Thanks in advance!

Also, since I am a fourth year student, I’d prefer a dorm with more upperclass students than first-year students.

If you are looking to meet people, Lambeth is a really good choice. Bice is pretty small. Those two are the more social dorms however you’ll meet people you like everywhere. Lambeth is all upperclass and I have a lease (female) if you are looking to take one over so you can ensure your spot in your choice of housing. Message me!

Hereford has all single dorms, so bice/lambeth might be a better choice. I lived in Brown and loved it.
