Applicants can check out the status of their applications online after a decision has been made but before they receive their letter.

Here’s how you can check: click on Route Y, then log on with your Net ID and password. Under Communications, click on “personal Information” or alternatively just type “PERSUMM” into the search box at the top. On your Summary Information page, there is a “Student Information” box on the bottom right…if it indicates “Admitted Undergraduate” you’ve been admitted. Since there is a lag between the time a decision is made and when you get your letter, I thought applicants might want to know about this capability.

Redsnake are you sure? It says i am an "admitted undergraduate," but I turned my application in on the 3rd or 4th. Could they make a decision that quick? I did have everything in on the 26 of november except the essay, and I had scored a 32 on the act, do you think they possibly bypassed the essay and just accepted me? thanks

It works. I remember back a couple of years ago when I applied that my status changed online before I got my acceptance letter. Anyway, congrats! You'll love it here at BYU if you choose to attend!

Bobdylan, I'm very certain that it works, especially given your ACT score. That's why I posted the information. Congratulations to you!! Have a great weekend. BTW, I'm from Santa Clarita.

You can always check to see if they've put your name on the student directory-- I did. My name and information popped up on the directory a good two weeks before I got my letter in the mail.
