Here's an original topic: AP classes

Yes, very novel of me. Anyway, in my freshman year I never thought much of these classes, even though a few in my circle of friends had already signed up for them. Only now do I see the craze, and boy do I feel inferior. (My high school is located in suburbia, so maybe that explains part of the obsession.)
I guess the madness has spread to me, because I'm wondering now if my high school (and college) plan is enough to satisfy. This is my progression of Honors/AP classes so far:
•Honors English 1, Honors English 2, Honors Biology
•Planned courses include AP Lang & Comp, AP Lit, AP Bio, and AP Psych. (Does intro to Biotech count?)

Should I take another? It seems too late for me as a junior. And either way, is a major in Linguistics a good choice? Perhaps a double-major, adding Psychology? Of course, I sit here without ever having taken an AP class or knowing what to expect from either major. Google searches haven't yielded any good info.

4 is enough (unless you want to go to Ivies) but it never hurts to take more. Are you going into junior year? I think you should take some histories if you can.

Don’t worry, many kids take their first AP in junior year. Take APs in the subjects you think you can do well in. More important than #APs, you need to have a good gpa and good SAT/ACT scores. This means you need a good foundation in English, Math and Science.

You don’t have to decide your major till sophomore year of college. Many students graduate in 4 years after starting out undecided.

^great advice

Thank you for answering!
